Who runs each page
Northneed runs this website and its first-party Northneed page. Third-party product pages are unofficial community pages, not company pages. They are not operated or monitored by the companies they reference.
Who shared a need
Ordinary needs are shared by community members. Some pages also include prompts labeled as Northneed conversation starters. They were created by Northneed to start a conversation; they are not user submissions or statements from the referenced company. On the first-party Northneed page, exact starter prompts are labeled as Northneed starter prompts.
Personal responses and follows
“I would use this” means it would be useful to you. “I need this” means it would solve a problem that matters to you. “I would pay for this” expresses present willingness to pay. Choose only what is true for you; you may choose more than one. Pay is present willingness, not a purchase, pledge, or promise.
Follow means receive updates, not agreement or support.
What counts can show
Counts are exact, direct self-selected Northneed responses from the current data. Because one person may choose more than one response, the total is not a count of unique people. Counts are not representative research, market size, demand, popularity, priority, company commitment, or a prediction of implementation. Northneed does not infer scores, trends, or momentum.
How needs are ordered
When you choose “Most responses,” needs are ordered by the exact sum of the three response counts; ties use recency and then a stable ID. Other choices, such as newest, use their stated deterministic order. Ordering does not make a need a company priority.
Discussion and safety
Discussions let people share context, trade-offs, workarounds, and possible improvements. Northneed does not promise that a company will read or act on them. Use the report controls on a need or comment, and read the Community Guidelines for reporting, moderation, and appeals.
Privacy and your account
Read the Privacy Policy for what is public and private. Signed-in users can use Settings to export account data or request account deletion. For privacy, safety, moderation, deletion, or other questions, contact Northneed.
