The submitted context
Gmail filters can automatically label, archive, delete, star, or forward incoming mail, but Gmail's current help page scopes creating, editing, and deleting filters to a computer. People who mainly use phones must switch to a desktop workflow just to add or change an inbox rule; separate public requests ask for filter controls in the iPhone app, the Gmail app generally, and Android. Please add full filter management to the official Gmail apps: create a rule from search criteria or a selected message, review existing filters, edit, pause, or delete them, and choose existing actions where account policy permits. Changes should sync to the same Gmail account and confirm before applying a new rule to existing mail. This request is for mobile controls over Gmail's existing server-side filters, not a second device-only rules system.
